Join us for a Puffin Safari to Bleiksøya, one of Norway´s most famous seabird colonies. Together with our guide onboard our traditional fishing vessel, Laura, you will experience a Puffin spectacle! There are puffins on the sea surface, swimming close to the boat, in the air, circling around the bird cliff in incredible numbers. You are also guaranteed to meet the majestic White-tailed eagles on a constant hunt trying to catch a puffin.

Bleiksøya, one of Norway´s most famous seabird colonies.
Established as a nature reserve to protect the unique bird and plant life on this iconic island. Tens of thousands of pairs of Puffins breed on Bleiksøya, making it the largest colony in the region.

You are also guaranteed to meet the majestic white-tailed eagles on a constant hunt trying to catch a puffin.
Bleiksøya is located in a favourable position, being very close to the edge of the continental shelf where upwelling force fish to the surface. Thus, the puffins have only a short distance between their nests and a rich source of food.
Other species such as Razorbills, Common guillemots, Black Guillemots, and Shags also breed here, adding more variety to the seabird spectacle.
Our professional guides will tell stories about the seabirds' “secret” life during the eight months when they are far away from the bird cliff, way out on the open sea, never setting foot on land.
